How to make money in Lagos Life
There are three layers of income. Nail the first two from day one, then let businesses compound your cash while you sleep.
Layer 1 — Get the best-paying job you can
Your salary is the foundation. With no skills yet, the highest-paying jobs you can walk into are below — take one of these on day one. Pay is per 1-hour shift (verified in-game), and you work 4–6 days a week.

Layer 2 — Fill the gaps with side-hustles
Between shifts, tap your character to open the “What should they do?” action menu. Most actions are free, but some earn naira — the easiest is WhatsApp Hustle (no skill needed), which is why it's the go-to top-up for Lapo players.

Layer 3 — Buy a business so money earns money
Once rent and food are covered, put spare cash into a business that pays a daily profit. Community guides price the entry ladder roughly like this (all unverified — we're checking in-game):
- Recharge & Data Kiosk — ~₦150,000 → ~₦700–3,200/day
- POS Stand — ~₦500,000 → ~₦3,000–9,500/day
- Buka / Mama Put — ~₦2,500,000 → ~₦12,000–43,000/day
- Quilox 5% stake — ~₦250,000,000 → ~₦645k–2.4M/day
